# Software Only joins the Web 2.0 Workgroup

A few weeks back, [TechCrunch](http://techcrunch.com/)’s Mike Arrington has invited me to join the [Web 2.0 Workgroup](http://web20workgroup.com/), the network of blogs, and podcasts, covering the next generation of Web applications and services. You can now access [Software Only](http://blog.softtechvc.com/) from the home page of the group, and in the aggregated [OPML file](http://web20workgroup.com/web20workgroup.xml) that lists all these blogs.

For more information about the genesis of the Group, you can listen to this [podcast](http://www.podtech.net/?p=183) recorded by PodTech.net’s John Furrier, and the founding members: [Mike](http://techcrunch.com/), [Richard “Kiwi” Mc Manus](http://readwriteweb.com/) and [Fred Oliveira](http://webreakstuff.com/). Thanks Guys!

Also: as a founding member of the TechCrunch BBQ Party series, I am delighted to report that the next bash is [planned for Fri, Nov 18th](http://www.techcrunch.com/2005/11/10/techcrunch-meetup-4-riya-launch-party/) at — obviously — TechCrunch’s HQ in Atherton. We’ll actually celebrate the launch of [Riya.](http://www.riya.com/) Should be fun. See you there!
